Welcome to my blog. I am a software engineer, musician and DJ.

I’ve been interested in computers since I was a child.

My latest project is Coral, a self-hosted music streaming service that I’ve been working on since 2023.

A few months ago, I experimented with using agentic coding tools to see if it’d be possible to build the player of my dreams as I have struggled to find the time to work on it for a while. In this article, I reflect on what it was like to use agentic coding tools both at work and in my personal life and have come to the conclusion that programming was a lot more fun when we did it by hand, as someone who enjoys the process rather than the product.
